WBW in Madison, Wisconsin, Says No to Nuclear War Preparations August 27, 2025

World Beyond War

On Wednesday morning, a ceremony was held inside the Wisconsin Veterans Museum to celebrate the start of construction by war profiteer General Dynamics Electric Boat of a nuclear submarine called the USS Wisconsin. Madison for a World BEYOND War and Physicians for Social Responsibility joined together in picketing and speaking against this agenda and in support of abolishing war.

Amy Schulz, RN, President of Physicians for Social Responsibility-Wisconsin, and Janet Parker, Chapter Co-coordinator of Madison for a World BEYOND War, spoke at the picketline.
