Our group, Physicians for Social Responsibility-FL found lead levels exceeding the AAP guidelines in all 16 of Leon County schools tested in 2016. In 2018, we found elevated lead levels in the water in four of the eight water fountains sampled in the Capitol. In 2021, we sampled a Cascades Park water fountain finding a lead level so high that the Water Utility immediately shut it down.
