Right now, one of the most important foundations of U.S. climate policy—the Endangerment Finding—is under threat. This critical ruling, first issued by the EPA in 2009, established that greenhouse gases endanger public health and welfare. It has served as the legal backbone for policies that reduce climate pollution, protect communities, and safeguard our children’s future.
But fossil fuel interests, the Trump administration and their allies are working to dismantle it. If they succeed, it could severely weaken our nation’s ability to address the climate crisis and protect public health.
We need your voice. The EPA is accepting public comments, and strong, fact-based input from concerned health professionals like you will make a difference. These comments are a matter of public record, and even if the Endangerment Finding is repealed your comment could be useful in the next line of defense, taking EPA to court.
PSR leaders have already been speaking out through the public hearing process that is taking place this week. Hear testimony from our Board President-Elect and President of Florida PSR, Dr. Ankush Bansal, on why he recommends EPA keep the Endangerment Finding in place.
Please take a few minutes to make your voice heard. Together, we can defend science, protect our communities, and build a safer, healthier future.
