Tell Congress: Polluters aren’t above the law! April 21, 2026

As if polluters haven’t received enough big breaks over the last year, just in time for Earth Day, Congress wants to give them a gift they’ve always wanted: complete immunity. Republican lawmakers have now introduced legislation in both chambers of Congress that would prevent holding polluters accountable for their role in knowingly contributing to and quickening the pace of climate change. 

We’ve already seen one of these bills become law in Utah and other states are trying to follow suit. The last thing we need is for this unconscionable policy to become a federal law that would be applied across the country. Big oil is not above the law and we must fight back
