Statement: Governor Newsom vetoes bill to require health warning labels on gas stoves September 28, 2024

CalPIRG

“California’s health professionals are disappointed that Governor Newsom has vetoed this legislation that called for providing basic information to Californians to make informed choices about purchasing appliances that could better protect the health of their families. We at SF Bay PSR will continue to work among our colleagues and in our communities to promote the transition from fossil fuels to electrification that is critical for public and climate health.”

San Francisco Bay Physicians for Social Responsibility President Robert M. Gould, MD
