On September 8th, 2021, Barbara Gottlieb, Environment and Health Program director, represented Physicians for Social Responsibility in front of the United States Office of Management and Budget (OMB). She commented on the need for the EPA to reinstate their Mercury and Air Toxics rule, which was cut during the previous administration. This rule limits toxic air and water pollution from coal-fired power plants, and has a significant benefit to vulnerable communities impacted by these pollutants.
