Repeal of EPA ‘endangerment finding’ endangers human health February 25, 2026

Washingtonians are not immune to these threats. We have experienced flooding, accelerating wildfires and extreme heat events. The 2021 heat dome caused over 250 excess deaths in the Pacific Northwest. We have seen our own patients suffer from heat-induced heart attacks and exacerbations of their heart and lung disease due to poor air quality. These are not hypothetical risks; these are real and happening right now.
