Recordings now available: Back from the Brink / ICAN Virtual Conference March 26, 2021

The March 4 virtual policy briefing, Ending Nuclear Weapons Before They End Us, jointly convened by Back from the Brink and the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN) saw participation by over 600 people in 28 countries. Weren’t able to attend? No worries: recordings of all the virtual briefing presentations and workshops — plus related materials — are now available here.

As the March 4th event made clear, true human security starts at home, in our communities, and preventing nuclear war and eliminating nuclear weapons from the planet should be everybody’s concern. Demand for bold action must come from the ground up. President Biden and other Washington decision makers need to hear from local and state officials from around the country who share the responsibility of making sure the public and our communities are safe.

With this in mind, PSR is supporting Back from the Brink’s new initiative to get city councilors, county commissioners, state legislators, and other local, county, and state officials to join together on an open letter to President Biden and Congress urging bold action on nuclear weapons.

Take action today — urge your mayor to sign this letter calling for 5 critical reforms to US nuclear weapons policy.
