PSR Testifies before U.S. EPA March 24, 2022

Smokestack Climate Ambassadors Dr. Alan Lockwood and Dr. Janis Petzel, board members Dr. Mike Martin and Dr. Todd Sack, and E&H Director Barb Gottlieb all testified at a virtual EPA hearing on the Mercury and Air Toxics Standards. EPA’s rulemaking would restore the legal finding, overturned by the Trump administration, that it is “appropriate and necessary” to regulate mercury and air toxics under the Clean Air Act. This would re-enable EPA to regulate mercury and other pollutants emitted by power plants. Read several of our speakers’ testimony below.
