PSR attends NYC Climate Week September 29, 2025

Every year in late September, nearly 100,000 descend upon New York City for NYC Climate Week to network, learn, and present their latest work in the climate space. PSR attended this year’s NYC Climate Week and was able to support many of our partner organizations and finally meet folks in person, instead of just a box on a Zoom screen. Some of the events PSR attended this year included a Make Polluters Pay Lunch & Learn session hosted by Fossil Free Media and NRDC where many state and federal elected officials talked to advocates about what they need to get Make Polluters Pay legislation through their state houses. Additionally, PSR was able to attend and support our partners at GasLeaks, PSE Health Energy, Carbonmapper, and Earthworks at their panel How To Tell the Methane Story: Making the Invisible Visible. It was amazing to see satellite imaging and beyond-visible-light imaging being used to show the real pollutive impact of fossil fuel infrastructure, and even see how these methane leaks can lead to benzene exposure, even at sensitive areas like schools. Check out PSE Healthy Energy’s Methane Risk Map here.
