Nominations Open for 2025 Charlotte Brody Award January 23, 2025

Health Care Without Harm and the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments are now accepting nominations for the 2025 Charlotte Brody Award.

The prestigious Charlotte Brody Award is given to a nurse whose story of environmental activism and accomplishment reflects a significant contribution to environmental health.

The award honors Charlotte Brody, a registered nurse and activist, and a founder of HCWH, who has dedicated her career to making a safer, healthier environment through sustainability. The Charlotte Brody Award seeks to recognize nurses who go beyond everyday nursing endeavors to proactively promote and protect environmental health, and who generate significant outcomes from their efforts.

They are looking for active or retired nurses who meet the award’s selection criteria. The winner of the award will receive two nights lodging, $350 travel stipend, and registration to attend Health Care Without Harm’s annual CleanMed conference which will be held May 6-8 in Atlanta, GA.

To nominate an environmental health nurse leader for the 2025 Charlotte Brody Award, please complete this form by February 21st, 2025. Be sure to review the scoring guide before submitting a nomination (self nominations are accepted).

If you have any questions, please contact Jeremiah Headen at jheaden@hcwh.org or Cara Cook at cara@envirn.org
