New PSR Training: Confronting the Health Risks of Radiation and Nuclear Weapons October 17, 2025
PSR is excited to invite you to register for our new eleven-week synchronous online course, Radiation and Nuclear Weapons: Health Risks and Advocacy Training. This timely, in-depth program designed for health professionals and advocates committed to protecting people and the planet from the threats of nuclear weapons and radiation exposure.
This interactive course will equip participants with the scientific understanding and advocacy tools needed to address the full spectrum of health impacts from radiation — from uranium mining to nuclear weapons testing and use. You’ll hear directly from leading experts, public health advocates, and impacted community members, and gain practical strategies to advocate for a safer, healthier, and nuclear-free future.
This program is uniquely intended for any health professionals or community health advocates with an interest in learning more about nuclear weapons and their health impacts. No prior knowledge of nuclear weapons or radiation exposure is necessary to actively participate and gain from the course. A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course for registered participants.
The program will take place from November 3rd, 2025 to February 2nd, 2026 on each Monday at 8:00pm Eastern (5:00pm Pacific Time) featuring a one-hour lecture and half-hour discussion. There will be eleven training sessions in total, and classes will not be held on the weeks of December 22nd, 29th, and January 19th.
At PSR, we believe that every health professional and community member should have the opportunity to join this training regardless of financial circumstance. Registration is offered on a sliding scale, and no one will be turned away.
Together, we can confront the health risks of radiation and nuclear weapons — and strengthen the movement for prevention, peace, and planetary health.
