Ann Suellentrop, of KC KS, a pediatric nurse: “I am a mandated reporter of child abuse. This plant is threatening the lives of children all over the world. I’ve met people at the UN—we were there for a meeting on the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons—millions of people have died from cancer, leukemia … it’s a forever pollution that’s happening. This is crazy. Every year, the tax money that we put in increases. I have been involved in PeaceWorks for 15 years, am on the national board of Physicians for Social Responsibility, am an affiliate with the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, and will go to Nagasaki and Hiroshima for meetings later this year.”
