Dr. Gwen DuBois, president of Chesapeake Physicians for Social Responsibility, said the issue is of urgent concern, considering how easily and quickly the virus can spread. “We can’t wait for people to have symptoms because we know they’re transmitting the virus even before they’re symptomatic,” DuBois said. “We need the mayor and governor to work together to rapidly find housing for the homeless.”
