Apply now to become one of PSR's Emerging Leaders for Planetary Health and Human Security!
PSR’s Emerging Leaders for Planetary Health and Human Security program will engage young health professionals and students under the age of 35 in the values, mission, and advocacy of PSR. Connecting health to our environment, security, and justice for all, Emerging Leaders will join our community of engaged members and healthcare professionals in working to make our world a better place.
The Emerging Leaders program will consist of monthly training webinars where leaders will learn and engage in conversations about threats to our health, planet, and security. Topics covered will range from the fossil fuel industry’s disproportionate negative impact on environmental justice communities to the gendered effects of radiation and nuclear weapons. Alongside the training, Emerging Leaders will take part in collective projects and initiatives including supporting group actions with PSR National, and gathering to work on specific program areas.
The PSR Emerging Leaders program and network will strive to connect young health professionals and students to as many opportunities to elevate their engagement with PSR issues. Opportunities to learn from and work with our extensive and prestigious membership will be built into the program.
Leaders may remain part of the network until the age of 35 continually engaging and learning from the program, and after a year of participation they will receive a certificate of completion of PSR’s Emerging Leaders Training. There is no cost associated with participating in this program.
