80th Anniversary Events: Remembering Trinity, Hiroshima, and Nagasaki July 16, August 6, and August 9, 2025
Join Physicians for Social Responsibility in commemorating 80 years since the start of the nuclear age, when the United States conducted the Trinity nuclear test in New Mexico and bombed the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
PSR Chapters, local organizers, and other groups across the country will be joining together this summer to commemorate these horrific events which spread radiation across the United States and killed over 200,000 people in Japan.

Lanterns for Peace
Join PSR Wisconsin for Lanterns for Peace, a family-friendly event commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings. Reflect, create, and send off lanterns at dusk in a collective call for peace and a world free of nuclear weapons.
Corvallis Hiroshima Nagasaki Commemoration
Music, speakers, displays, and origami, followed by a community affirmation for peace and a flotilla on the river.
Nuclear War Realities and Remedies
On the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, rally to ban the bomb. Guitarist/singer Julie Beutel will perform a medley of anti-nuclear and peace songs and Rev. Rich Peacock will lead a discussion.
