WNC Extreme Weather People’s Hearing

Together with several local, state, and national organizations, PSR is organizing this “Extreme Weather People’s Hearing,” modeled after the traditional listening sessions hosted by the EPA, FEMA, and other government agencies. We are recruiting people who can offer brief testimony (1-2 minutes) to share our experiences with Helene and its aftermath, whether that’s your personal story or your expert perspective as a health professional. We are also hoping to turn out an audience of fellow community members to listen and offer support. The People’s Hearing will be open to the media, and at the conclusion of the event, there will be opportunities to connect with one another and to take action with PSR and other organizations working to respond locally and to fight for strong federal climate policies.
