This event features a roundtable discussion with city officials and campaigners who’ve been involved in local nuclear disarmament initiatives such as joining Mayors for Peace, becoming a nuclear weapons free zone, or adopting a Back from the Brink and ICAN Cities Appeal resolution. The conversation will be framed by Hirokazu Miyazaki of Northwestern University’s research on city-level organizing and policy advocacy pursuing nuclear disarmament and nuclear justice in the US and Japan. A reception will follow from 3:30-5:30 at The Church Center, 777 United Nations Plaza, 8th floor
