Lanterns for Peace
August 6 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm CDT

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. We invite you to join us for an evening of reflection and community as we remember those affected and express our shared commitment to a world without nuclear weapons.
Lanterns for Peace is open to all!
Families, friends, and neighbors are welcome. The evening begins with lantern-making, followed by a brief commemorative program. At dusk, participants will gently release candle-lit lanterns onto the Tenney Park Lagoon in a beautiful and symbolic gesture of remembrance and hope.
