All Good Books bookstore will host a Hiroshima Remembrance Book Event with Kathleen Burkinshaw, daughter of a Hiroshima survivor and author of the young adult novel, The Last Cherry Blossom, that tells the story of a young girl who survives the bombing of Hiroshima. Following a short refreshments break and local artists, musicians and poets will share their Hiroshima reflections. Presenting will be Josh McGill, Lang Owen, Miho Kinas, Randy Spencer and Al Black. The event, the committee’s 34th Annual Hiroshima Vigil/Remembrance, will provide information about the history and impact of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, including nuclear issues affecting South Carolina today.
