Hiroshima Day Commemoration

The 78th anniversary of the dawn of the nuclear age and the ongoing danger of nuclear weapons. All are welcome. Events include:

Screening: Appreciation—The Tomiko Morimoto West Story, a 20-minute film about a survivor of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. The showing will be followed by a Q&A with Director/Producer Michael Dwyer.

Discussion: present situation of nuclear weapons in front of the war between NATO and Russia. Speakers: Alice Slater, New York Director of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation and board member of World Beyond War, and David Anderson, co-director of Pressenza International Press Agency,

Music Performance by Mark Lesseraux

Screening: The Beginning of the End of Nuclear Weapons. This documentary, directed by Alvaro Orus, is about the efforts to incorporate a nuclear weapons ban treaty into international law.
