Climate & Health Day at the Massachusetts State House

MA Climate & Health Day is an advocacy day that was founded by four Next Gen Climate & Health Ambassadors for Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR)—Eliana, Efi, Tristan, and Wafaa—who wanted to bring attention to the health impacts of climate change and policy solutions that can help protect both people and the planet.
During this advocacy day, health professionals and health professions students meet with policymakers to advocate for bills that aim to address environmental justice and improve public health. Some of our legislative priorities this year include:
- Ensuring cleaner air for communities disproportionately impacted by outdoor air pollution
- Promoting polluter responsibility
- Building climate resilience and affordable housing
- Protecting public health from PFAS
- Reducing plastic pollution
