Climate change is driven by oil companies that have deceived the public and bought our governments for decades. That is the history lesson that should drive us to take action to alter our predicament. 

Legal action should focus on the oil companies. Legislation and policies should eliminate subsidies for the fossil fuel industry and create carbon pricing incentives to move to renewable energy. Otherwise, things will only get worse.
