Tarunika Anand is the Policy Coordinator for the Environment and Health program at Physicians for Social Responsibility. She is passionate about environmental justice and championing communities of color and low-income populations.
Tarunika previously served as a Legislative Assistant for Congressman Donald Payne Jr. and an Energy and Environment Legislative Correspondent for Senator Jon Ossoff working on conservation and clean energy policy. Prior to her roles on Capitol Hill, she worked the 2020 campaign cycle as the Campaign Manager for a state senate race and the Deputy Campaign Manager for a state house race in Georgia. Tarunika has also held various positions at the Georgia State Capitol, Democratic Party of Georgia, and Atlanta City Council. She graduated from Emory University in 2019 with a B.A. in Sociology.
