Annette Raveneau, MPM

Annette is an independent bilingual senior communication and partnership strategist. She brings her bicultural, in-house communication and Spanish-language broadcast journalism experience to lead and counsel her nonprofit clients.

Her prior experience includes working at Spitfire Strategies, a boutique communication firm, as a senior consultant. Annette led critical accounts for large and small foundations, their grantees and other nonprofits with work ranging from local to global issues such as environmental justice, Indigenous guardianship, health equity, education, cultural shift, workforce development, and women’s, human, civic and digital rights among other crucial issue areas.

Before joining Spitfire, Annette directed communication efforts at several national organizations such as The Pew Charitable Trusts, where she managed the international marine protection portfolio for the Blue Nature Alliance; Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, where she created communication strategies focused on workforce development, affordable lending for entrepreneurs, and grants for cultural and artistic organizations; Families USA and Enroll America where she worked on health care and health equity policy issues such as the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP.

Annette is an Afro-Latina runner, Salsa dancer, bike commuter and wannabe Capoerista who has lived in six states, DC and Panama. She earned a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Florida International University.
