[A] lack of public input were cited as reasons for the early departure by many attendees, including Physicians for Social Responsibility Pennsylvania executive director Tonyehn Verkitus.

“Not only were their questions not addressed, but the folks at Amazon touted the fact that this would be a carbon free industry and we have a panel talking about nothing but gas production in Pennsylvania,” Verkitus tells FOX56 data centers are one of their biggest environmental concerns, especially if they will be using natural resources.

“Look outside, here where we live there’s so much hiking, rivers, streams, waterfalls, beautiful resources that we have access to on a daily basis. That’s a prescription for health, and they’re taking that from us,” she said.
